Kitchen(tiled) and dinning area seperated by a 3 by 7 foot bar with stools. Living room area is 15 by 17 plus foyer(tiled). No garage. Small front porch, 4 by 20. Lot is 80 wide by 210 ft deep. 3 mature oak trees in back yard and completely fenced. Nice neighborhood, in 80k populated town. Home is updated with new vinyl windows, new kitchen cabinets and roof. All electric with heat pump for cooling and heat(10 years old). Carpet is 8 years old. We appraised with realtor at 150,000. What would this home be on the market for in your area? Please say where you are. Panhandle of Fl here. 40 miles to beach.

It would fetch you between $90,000 and $125,000 in South Mississippi, depending of course upon what neighborhood it’s in.

I want to buy my baby furniture in the store but the dresser i want is pretty big and it won’t fit in my car. I also don’t have access to a truck. Would they deliver or do I have to buy online for that option?

Absolutely, they, just like most furniture stores, will deliver your large items for an additional fee for delivery.

The Babies ‘R Us store I went to was happy to deliver my furniture to me. I lived a little ways away, but I was still within delivery range. There will be a delivery charge, and they may charge you a larger rate if you live far away.

So I’m only 6 weeks pregnant, but I’m already pricing out baby furniture so we can save accordingly. Does anyone know any websites/stores that sell inexpensive baby furniture? I want a crib that will be safe for my baby but don’t want to spend a fortune… example: no Pottery Barn Kids furniture! I’d like to buy a matching set in a natural color with a convertible crib. Looking to spend anywhere from $150 – $250 per piece, or even less if possible. Thanks all!
Craigslist is a great idea. I’ve been looking and haven’t found much I like yet, but I know I have a ton of time. Hopefully I’ll find something there I like, but just incase I need a backup!

OVERSTOCK.COM The same crib was $100 cheaper than the one at Target and the shipping was $2.95! Shipping for Target was $100! We love it……

i’m really tired of the way my room looks. i’m a 14 year old girl, my room is kind of small with light purple walls and i have a rubber duck collection…
i’ve tried moving my furniture around (desk, bed, bureau-thing w/mirror) but it doesn’t really change anything and the way my room is shaped (closet built in on one side, window and shelves built in on other) i can’t change that much
i like singing, dancing, acting, soccer, movies etc and want to make my room more exciting without spending any money (my parents won’t let me)
any suggestions?

Can you afford some glue, foam core board and printer paper? Find images of soccer balls on the internet and print the best one in a few different sizes. Cut them out carefully and glue them to the same size round of foam core board using rubber cement….it won’t buckle like white glue and dries almost instantly. Tack them to a wall (using double sided mounting tape ) starting with the smallest to largest in an arc….it gives a three dimensional, movement to the graphic display. If you don’t want to do the soccer theme, find images representing your other interests such as singing ( find images of CD covers of your favorite singers , enlarge and print and create dimensional art for the walls with the foam core and glue ) or a similar search for favorite movies….stills, posters can also make an interesting display. I started with the soccer ball because black and white would look good with the light purple walls.

It’s a dream about a house. It’s three stories and you can get to the second story easily but the stairs to the third floor are completely gone. If you manage to get up there, there are several bedrooms to the right. One of the bedrooms looks like a boys bedroom, it’s very messy with toys everywhere, and it doesn’t seem to have been used in quite a while, there is dust everywhere.
And while you are at it, can you tell me what this dream means? It’s pretty disturbing. It’s also about a house, a large one, but although it has multiple stories, I only ever see the first floor. All the rooms are really fancy, but there is something eerie about everything and you go into a room and find a dead body lying in the bed. Every room you go into either has dead bodies on the furniture or stuffed in closets. You go to the front door, which is open, but before you get there it slams closed, locking you inside. The house then catches on fire. That is when I wake up, but I’ve had the dream many times and it scares the fishsticks out of me

A house = pretty much about your life
stairs to the third floor are gone = lack of full confidence in decision making
messy boys bedroom, dust everywhere = things are not easily accepted
only see the first floor = low self confidence, low self esteem
dead body in every room = disappointment, feeling hard to be accepted
front door locking you inside = lack of control
house then catches on fire = alert

You may be feeling lack of full confidence in life. The dream you have basically reflect some social life and lack of decision making in some way. It may be about things in the family, you may be feeling restricted in many ways and feeling helpless. Projecting dead body in every room symbolize disappointment. Each room represents your social life, and you may be feeling not easy for others to understand you. That is why you see all the dead bodies in each room. The house catches on fire suggest that you are feeling no way out, you have some alert in you about things you are out of control

All those images are symbols. Of course, if you have seen scary movie, then it is just a play back of your movie experience. But more or less this dream reveals the deep hidden personalities of yours.

I have a recurring dream of a house somebody has given my family and my parents decided to give it to me. It is a bit of an old house..but well taken care of. The people who left it to my family ,left everything behind , as though maybe someone died…I mean everything…personal items like jewelry and filing cabinets and clothing of both genders. The outside of the house is beautifully landscaped…vines over the porch and plenty of shade trees…green and healthy. I feel comfortable there, and I am always finding more and more unusual things in the house. Old antique furniture and collectibles.

means you probably do not have a nice home of your own and you want one.

I recently found a really great Bed frame with wooden headboard in a Furniture shop here in California. In fact most of my parents bedroom set where from the US and was shipped to the Philippine due to the privilages my dad had while still in the Navy ( and while he was relocated to the Subic base)

How can I shipp the bed frame without damage to the Philippines and can I send them to normal shipping cargo carries?
Hopefully without damage?
Serious answers only

wrap it in bubble wrap? I would think that if something does happen to it, its out of your control but they would be responsible for it. Take a picture of it as proof

I just painted my bedroom a pastel pink. I was just wondering what colors I should add into my room. I am buying literally everything new for my room! So here’s a rough list of things i need!
Curtains
bedding
light or dark wood ( for dressers/headboard)
accessories

You don’t have to go into a lot of detail or complete the list if you don’t want to, just give me a couple of colors you think would look good!

Thank you so much!

With a color like that, you should add in a rich color, like a deep brown or cherry oak something like that. It would give it a wow factor.

I’m thinking of repainting my walls and I have a glass desk with aluminum stands, as well as a similar TV stand. What wall color works best? Also, any suggestions for the color of the couch? Thanks.

The great thing about glass and metal furniture is that it goes with everything. It looks best with real intense colors. If you buy a black, grey or white couch the color choices are limitless! This way you can change your colors as it suits you and the furniture will go with it. My Hubby had a custom glass chrome table made in the 70s, and we still use it!

Here is a color wheel in case you decide to buy a colored couch. Then you can choice a complimentary color for the walls (Just look at the color opposite the couch color on the wheel).

If you want to buy one they are pretty cheap

You can also pick one up at the local art/craft supply store

When I was a kid I used to watch the workers in my Dad’s office work away in their little modular office furniture cubicles. It was like watching little worker ants dutifully managing the one or two tasks that they had been assigned for life, thinking nothing of themselves. I didn’t think the people seemed very happy. To me it seemed so drab and gray in there. The tables and desks didn’t have any character, were usually heavy metal and much to small to be any real use. Everything was institutional and bland. I wondered how those poor people could get through the day without going crazy. Maybe they didn’t.

Of course my Dad’s office was different. He was the boss so he got to enjoy the perks of having his own office. No boring modular office furniture in there! It seemed so big and impressive. I remember a big leather studded chair and tall wall shelves full of important looking books and figurines. Plenty of tables and chairs, and even a couch. There were always stacks of file folders and papers on his desk that made me feel like I was in a very important place. We used to hide under his desk, or behind the large plants by the window. We could imagine that we were almost anyone in that place. But usually it was enough to know that Dad would protect us from anything as dreary as ordinary work tasks. I admit, it was a charmed youth! But, oh how the times have changed!

Now, as I sit here in my ergonomically correct office chair, surrounded by truly functional modular office furniture, I am struck with an irony. I am not the boss, but I have nicer furniture around me than my father did all those years ago in his lavish office. Modular office furniture has come so far. I have the privacy and quiet I need. I have lots of storage space and shelving. No more drab colors, but instead, a beautiful mahogany (well melamine anyway) desk, bookcase, and credenza. And all richly appointed, warm, and elegant. My work area is truly a versatile and functional surrounding, but at the same time stylish and welcoming. I don’t dread coming into the office. How could I with modular office furniture appointed with designer handles, ball-bearing drawer slides and so much room for my projects that I can arrange everything just how I want it without feeling like my space cramps my style and creativity.

And that is one of the nice thing about modern modular office furniture. It makes workers (myself happily included) more productive and happy. It can be expanded as the needs of business grows, and it comes in a huge variety of configurations, colors, and styles. Office desks, conference tables, reception desks, comfortable chairs, efficient filing systems, printer stands and computer stations, complete workstations and cubicles; all of these modular office furniture pieces and arrangements have changed the office landscape into a modern wonder of efficiency and peace; good enough for the boss. Well, for a modern worker who’s dad was a boss anyway.
