My son is turning two & has definitely outgrown his nursery. I was thinking trundle bed, wood furniture but my husband wants to wait to buy anything nice until he’s old enough to take care of it (no crayons, etc). Does anyone have any suggestions on toddler bedrooms for boys?

i think you should get a simple twin sized bed and plastic furniture for the rest, since its sturdy, cheap, and you can wash anything off of it. also lots of soft things, like a beanbag chair.

Look at Walmart…we did a Spongebob theme for our son’s room. He’s also 2. We got Spongebob window panels (curtains), a Spongebob bedding set, and Spongebob wall stickers. We paint the walls of his room like a lime green color to match the curtains.

I suggest going to Walmart and looking around… you might want to invest in a toddler bed if you don’t already have one… But what does your son like? Diego? Trucks? Cars? Just decorate it with what he likes.

My son is 20 months old and we’re getting him into a twin bed in a month or so. He’s got a twin bed (black wrought-iron frame), a wooden dresser that matches, and a wooden/wrought-iron shelving unit (also matches). His furniture is black, so even if he took a marker and colored all over it, you wouldn’t be able to see it. I plan on using this bedroom set until he is out of elementary school and needs a desk to go with it all. At that point, he’d probably get a full-sized bed and matching furniture. The new set would then last ’til he’s through high school. After that, he could take it to college maybe, or I’d sell it, or maybe just use it as spare bedroom furniture, or just keep it as his room for when he comes home on breaks. Who knows, that’s WAY too far away to think about! LoL! He’s still my little baby. :o )
