I’m thinking about turning part of our basement into a bedroom for me but I’m looking for some awesome furniture that is modern or just anything cool for it. I’m am a boy so no girly stuff ha. I am interested in lots of things like photography and art so if I could put some of that stuff in it that would be cool.

Alrighty, so for the longest time my walls have been white, I’ve had carpet, and hand-me-down furniture. We are moving to a new house and I finally get to do my bedroom however I want! There is a loose budget of $5,000 – $8,000 and the floors I’m getting (Cumaru, Brazillian Cherry upgrade) are about $3,000.

About Me:

I’m a 13 year old girl and I am kinda girly.. not like obsessive with pink and crap but I’m defenetly not a tom boy. I don’t want the room to necissarily be "themed" I want it to be like the PBTeen rooms, (clean lines, neat, stylish, colorful, fun) But, the PBTeen furniture requires you to pay for the assembly of each peice, which can add up and would be a large chunk of my budget.

So for a while I was thinking i was going to paint my walls a blueish/purpleish color, but now I’m thinking Turqios with silver accents woud be 1000x prettier, and with little splashes of color &paintings. But I also like purple still and orange and yellow so I want to incorporate more colors then just the turqios. I want clean lines, and style.

About the Room:

So, the room is pretty large, getting the brand new Cumaru brazillian cherry floors 5-inch wide, there is a medium sized window on one wall, two dors on one wall, and another wall with a door. the far left corner of the room as a 3ft by 4ft nook.

If you have any ideas how I can design it or where to buy furniture, or links to rooms&Furniture that you think I would like that would be much appreciated

For the first time, relatives take the medie inside the McStay’s house.

Joseph and Summer McStay and their two boys — Gianni, 4, and Joey, 3 — have been missing since Feb. 4.

Mike McStay, Joseph’s brother gave reporters a tour of the home located on the 3400 block of Avocado Vista Lane in North County. He said the home has been cleaned and vacuumed in the time since the family disappeared.

Inside, the house is in a moderate level of disarray — mostly because the home was in the process of being remodeled, according to Mike. Four upstairs bedrooms are, for the most part, empty. Several children’s toys, including a large playhouse remain in the house.

The master bedroom is empty. Furniture had yet to be delivered, said Mike McStay. In a walk-in closet, Mike Mcstay said, several purses were found but did not appear to be currently being used. Downstairs, strips of masking tape protect the edgings of several walls — the kitchen was being repainted. Two sets of sunglasses, one of which has prescription lenses, were found on a counter.

In the garage, a double stroller sits with several wetsuits resting on top of it. Mike McStay said his brother would always take the stroller on planned trips.

Earlier this month, the San Diego County Sheriffs Dept released surveillance video that may have captured the McStay family entering Mexico.

The video was recorded at the San Ysidro border crossing Feb. 8, the same day the Mcstay’s white Isuzu Trooper was found illegally parked at a nearby strip mall.

At the bottom left corner of the video, you can see a man walking hand in hand with a child. Following him is a woman in a white jacket, holding the hand of another child.

San Diego County Sheriff’s investigators say this could be Joseph McStay and his wife Summer with their two kids, crossing the border into Tijuana.

“There’s a very high probability it’s them, said Sheriff’s homicide Lt. Dennis Brugos.

Detectives showed the video to their family. Some recognized the white jacket that the woman is wearing in the video, but other family members aren’t sure it’s them because of the poor quality of the video.

“It’s very grainy, overshadowed, there’s no definition to shape, said Mike McStay.

Since their disappearance, investigators said, the McStays haven’t used their bank accounts, credit cards or cell phones.

“They could be down there on their own volition, and just wanted to drop out for awhile, that’s one theory, said Brugos. “They could have gone down there for the evening and got into a situation they couldn’t get out of.”

Anyone with information about the case is being urged to call deputies at 858-974-2321 or 858-565-5200 after-hours. Tips can also be called in anonymously to CrimeStoppers at 888-580-TIPS(8477). A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered by CrimeStoppers for information leading to an arrest.

My son is turning two & has definitely outgrown his nursery. I was thinking trundle bed, wood furniture but my husband wants to wait to buy anything nice until he’s old enough to take care of it (no crayons, etc). Does anyone have any suggestions on toddler bedrooms for boys?

i think you should get a simple twin sized bed and plastic furniture for the rest, since its sturdy, cheap, and you can wash anything off of it. also lots of soft things, like a beanbag chair.

We’re moving to a much nicer apartment. Me and my Fiance are a young couple (I’m 23 hes 28) with a four year old little boy. We have a lot of furniture, but its all mismatched. Our coffee table is one finish, our end tables are another, our TV stand another. In the bedroom we have no bad frame, and all our dressers, nightstands, and tv stand are different colors. I’m wondering what all goes into sanding and refinishing furniture, and does it really look good when its finished? And we want black bedroom furniture, can you stain furniture black? Or do you have to paint it ( I hate painted furniture) Also, where can you get really cheap furniture? And what are some simple cheap ways to make your place look nicer? Thanks guys!

Hi, ok so I want to paint my bedroom black and like a Lamborghini orange color(Yellow orange) and I’m a 13 year old boy so I don’t want like light green or something! My parents told me that 2 black walls and 2 orange ones were like totally against what your supposed to do and that I have to do 3 orange and 1 black wall. I think that would look a little girly but If i could i would want 3 black 1 orange but I can’t because when I move out my parents will need to paint it back to off white so I can have a max of 2 dark walls. My bed will be like a bunk bed without the bottom so on the bottom im putting a couch. the couch I like comes in Denim, coffee and dark blue but I like the coffee color which would maybe go with the orange but I don’t know. The bed is either going to metal or the one I like that is Black and a little white. My other furniture that I like is the pbteen locker stuff but there really expensive. Im also planning to have mirrors behind the couch all the way up to the base of the bed so it will look pretty cool i think. I need any paint colors or furniture ideas?
