I’m pregnant with my first baby, and wondering when is the best time to buy your crib and other baby furniture?. Did you use a bassinet and then used your crib, or is it okay to just skp the bassinet and start the newborn in a crib (or just let it sleep in a moses basket??) Did you buy furniture at Walmart, or someplace liek Babys R Us, or upscale places like Pottery Barn Kids??
I’d appreciaite any advice and stories about your personal experience with baby furniture.

At 12 weeks I put a crib, crib mattress, changing table/changing table mattress, and dresser on layaway at kmart….I had it payed off by 20 weeks, I think it cost around 500 dollars (its also really cute). I also reistered for a basinet though for his first few months, you could skip the bassinet but I think it would be better to have him/her close by for their first few months so you can keep a close eye on their breathing….

Am a new mother, and well it;s not so easy deciding on how to buy furniture. My baby is 5 month old, but the only thing we bough for her was a 400 dollar crib wich I do not like. We are going to Columbus in December. I have been searching online and can not seem to find anything! I need to find a place to rent a portable crib, or a pack and play for a week.
As far as I know, there are no baby gear rental companies located in Columbus. You can try a rental company that ships gear like Tots Travel Rentals though.
