Suggestions for redecorating my room?

I am a 16 year old girl and I’m going to be moving into a new room in our new house. The room I am getting is pretty big and more of a rectangular shape. However, it doesn’t get a lot of light. I have to keep the pine bedroom furniture I already have but I won’t be having a lot of furniture in the room – literally just the bed and bedside table, a chest of drawers, and some built in wardrobes (and maybe a chair). I want to make the room look big and bright but I want some originality and creativity in it too. Any suggestions?

Paint the walls a light color to make your room seem bigger and brighter. Get lots of lighting as well. You lots of brights colors as well.
